Board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon Justin Strickland, M.D., will join the doctors at Kansas Joint & Spine Specialists on March 24. Dr. Strickland is an experienced sports medicine specialist who offers high-level care for sports injuries and active individuals with shoulder, elbow and knee pain. He will be seeing patients at the practice’s East office location at 10100 E. Shannon Woods Circle and in Derby. As a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Strickland offers the highest standard of treatment in bone, joint and muscle care. He has over two decades of experience caring for athletes and active patients. Dr. Strickland received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown. After completing medical school, he underwent residency training in orthopaedic surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He further refined his skills by completing a sports medicine fellowship at Cincinnati SportsMedicine & Orthopaedic Center in Ohio. Dr. Strickland is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and holds a Subspecialty Certificate in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine.
